Today we’re going to let you recreate a 1980s cop show with this 1980 Ford Fairmont.
Oh, it has Mexican specs.
I suppose you could also pay homage to the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” video if you want, as well — though the car in that one is a Crown Vic.
Anyway, this one is for sale south of the border and it has a 302 cubic-inch V8 mating to a three-speed manual transmission. The mileage is a shade under 50K kilometers — or about 30,000 miles.
The seller does concede it’s possible that there’s a “1” missing at the front of the odo reading, but even if that’s the case, the mileage would be about 92,000 miles. Still low for a car of that age.
There are flaws — the car lacks factory air, the wheel covers aren’t model appropriate, and the steering wheel has some cracks in it.
On the other hand, the car has power steering and brakes.
If you’re interested you can get this one for $9,150, including delivery to the U.S. border. It appears our seller has sold other Mexican-spec cars to U.S. buyers. Perhaps the seller is a dealer.
Anyway, click here for more.
