Skoda celebrates 13 decades of history with Kamiq 130 Years Edition

The 2026 Skoda Kamiq 130 Years Edition has been confirmed for Australia ahead of its local release in November, priced at $44,990 before on-road costs – $1100 more than the flagship Kamiq Monte Carlo.

However, like the 130 Years Editions of the Karoq mid-size SUV and the Elroq electric SUV, the special-edition small SUV comes “fully loaded” with a host of unique extra equipment to mark the Czech brand’s 130th anniversary.

Featuring the same turbocharged 110kW/250Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as the Monte Carlo, the Kamiq 130 Years Edition is claimed to offer one of the highest torque figures among front-wheel drive compact SUVs.

Building on the standard equipment lists offered by the entry-level Kamiq Select 85TSI and the top-shelf Monte Carlo 110TSI, the 130 Years Edition brings 19-inch silver ‘Fornax’ alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, chrome roof rails and window surrounds, matrix LED headlights (low- and high-beam) with dynamic cornering and a hands-free power tailgate.

Inside, the Kamiq 130 Years Edition scores a larger 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system (up from 8.25-inch in the base Kamiq) with navigation, a 10-inch ‘Virtual Cockpit’ digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger and 10-speaker Canton sound system.

There’s also leather- and Alcantara-appointed seat trim, a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, power-adjustable driver’s seat (including lumbar) with memory, heated front and rear outboard seats, push-button start, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and LED ambient interior lighting.

Now available to order, the Kamiq 130 Years Edition also comes with Travel Assist (incorporating adaptive cruise control, Adaptive Lane Assist and Emergency Assist) and nine airbags.

Carryover Kamiq equipment includes ‘clever’ Skoda storage solutions such as a storage net under the parcel shelf, double-sided (rubber/fabric) boot mat, cargo net, a removable storage box for rear passengers, and a waste bin in the front door pocket.

Four exterior paint colours are available from launch for no extra cost: Moon White metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, Race Blue metallic, and Black Magic pearlescent.

“The Kamiq 130 Years Edition continues the celebration of Skoda’s long and rich history with a car that showcases just how far the brand has come since it made its first Škoda bicycle in 1895,” said Skoda Australia product manager, Glenn Reid.

“From those humble beginnings now comes a small SUV that’s cleverly packaged, more generously equipped than ever and designed with a restrained, European elegance.

“Add to that the reassurance of Skoda’s seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty – unique amongst European brands – Skoda Choice Guaranteed Future Value, and affordable servicing, and there has never been a better opportunity to discover what makes the critically-acclaimed Kamiq the smart choice in its segment.”

In addition to announcing the 130 Years Edition, Skoda Australia has also confirmed the Select and Monte Carlo grades of the Kamiq will enter 2026 with unchanged pricing.
