During the Barrett-Jackson 2025 Scottsdale Auction, ClassicCars TV was invited to the debut of the 2025 Shelby GT350 and GT350R. In addition to getting an up-close look at the GT350, which has an 810-horsepower supercharged Coyote 5.0-liter V8 under the hood, and the track-ready, 830-plus-horsepower GT350R, we also heard from key people involved in the development of these two high-performance machines. President of Shelby American, Gary Patterson, explained how they are the product part of four important Ps: people, pride, product, and performance.

Chief designer Vince LaViolette laid out his approach to the newest versions of the automotive icons. We also heard from the father-and-son duo of Rich and Jack Rinke from Turn Key Automotive and Motorsports, which is preparing the GT350R to compete in the legendary Trans Am Series next year.

They’ve been working closely with Trans Am and its technical director, Aaron Coalwell, who let us know when and where we can expect to see the GT350R start racing. Join ClassicCars TV as we learn more about the S650 Mustang-based 2025 Shelby GT350 and GT350R models.
