Nissan has gone and NISMO’d the new Armada.
Putting a performance trim on a three-row, luxo-barge SUV seems silly, does it not?
To be fair to Nissan, the brand does get props for adding ponies — it’s not just an appearance package. It’s also interesting that the Armada is also available in PRO-4X off-road trim. And that trim is more capable off-road than you’d expect.
Look, the NISMO Armada might be tons of fun — I am not dismissing it out of hand. And sometimes, these ridiculous trims are loads of fun. So I am not asking what the worst application of a performance trim is — just what the silliest one is. Regardless of whether it was done well or not.
