2025 Jeep Avenger now Australia’s cheapest electric SUV after $16,000 EOFY discount

The Jeep Avenger can now be had for as little as $40,000 drive-away – around $16,000 less than before – making it Australia’s most affordable electric SUV.

The entry-level version of the American off-road brand’s first EV, the Longitude, is now being offered for $40,000 drive-away including premium paint as part of an end of financial year offer, “while stocks last”.

That’s down from the $49,990 before on-roads price Jeep announced in September, just prior to the Avenger’s local launch in November, and down from the $53,990 plus on-roads price the company first announced in March 2024.

Reduced prices offered on the Jeep Avenger are available now. Contact a dealer via CarExpert for the best deal or call our Concierge team on 1300 587 992.

At its launch, Jeep indicated it may offer further Avenger price cuts to keep the model competitive in Australia’s rapidly evolving EV market.

But throw in premium paint (normally a $990 option) and statutory on-road costs (about $5000 depending on the state or territory in which you live), and the new base price represents a saving of about $16,000.

Because the similarly sized Mini Aceman is officially classed as a car and not an SUV, the Avenger arrived late last year as Australia’s first all-electric light SUV.

And at $40k drive-away, it’s now Australia’s most affordable battery-powered SUV, undercutting the much larger BYD Atto 3 (from $39,990 plus on-roads) and even upcoming pint-size Hyundai Inster (from $39,000 before on-roads).

The Avenger also undercuts the popular MG 4 hatch (from $41,156 drive-away when it’s not on special for $36,990), but not other small electric hatchbacks like the GWM Ora and BYD Dolphin (from $29,990 plus on-roads).

Jeep is also offering “substantial factory bonuses” at the discretion of its dealers, but prices of the mid-range Avenger Limited and top-shelf Summit officially remain at $54,990 and $60,990 plus on-roads – $3000 less than the prices initially announced by Jeep early last year.

Jeep Australia sold just seven Avengers last month (April) and so far this year it has found only 21 buyers for its first EV, which is expected to be joined by mild-hybrid and full-hybrid 4xe powertrains locally.

Currently, all Australian-market Avengers are powered by a single electric motor producing 115kW of power and 260Nm of torque, fed by a 51kWh battery offering a claimed driving range of at least 391km (WLTP).
